So the question I have β and I suspect the question that everybody reading this article will have as well β isβ¦ Have you written to the Vatican yet? And have they replied? Deus vult π
I asked a fixer in Rome and it turned out that the marriage was not registered civilly. Emails to the Vatican went unanswered. I rang the Passport Office again and lovely Aoife made a note and told me to claim with Dadβs birth certificate. I donβt wish to jinx it but it appears to be slipping through like an eel in a bucket of snot! ππ€β
Great piece, Sydney! Thanks for handling my story so sensitively. Great job!
It was an honor to be able to share your story. I hope you feel it was done some justice. Still one of my favorite conversations to date!
You more than did it justice, and captured my voice as well, which is a sign of good journalism! π

Deus vult, as they say in the Vatican!
Thank you, Fadda! xx
Heβs got such a positive outlook and is happy with his life in Spain despite what heβs been through which I think is really special!
